Inside the Sanko sessions

The first Sanko session happened in a room with one working monitor. Wana Sn had flown in from Lagos with a bag of stems and no plan beyond finishing something.

What followed was eighteen months of writing camps, deleted hooks and one hard drive failure that cost the album its original intro.

The version that shipped is leaner than the one that was almost finished twice — nine records, no filler, sequenced in a single night.
